The installation techniques for APP bituminous membranes differ based on the specific needs of the roofing system and the type of membrane utilized. Common installation methods include:
Heat welded seam technique: This method entails heating the overlapping edges of the membrane with a propane torch to establish a seamless, watertight connection between the two membrane sections.
Self-adhesive technique: This approach requires the removal of the release paper from the self-adhesive backing of the membrane, followed by pressing it onto the roof deck.
Torch-on technique: This method involves applying heat to the bituminous membrane with a torch and subsequently pressing it onto the roof deck, allowing it to fuse and adhere to the surface.
Mechanically fastened technique: This method utilizes specialized mechanical fasteners to secure the membrane to the roof deck.
